PRESS RELEASE
** MEDICAL CENTRE**
“The school’s health Centre is not a dumping ground for fake or expired drugs” (DR. Adebayo Ismail Adewale, Medical Director, TOPS)
“You can’t go to a pharmaceutical company to buy drugs as an unregistered pharmacist” (Mr. Caleb Adejumobi, Dean Student Affair)
The rumors going round the school campus that fake and expired drugs and drips are used at the health Centre and are supplied by Dean, Students’ Affair are total lies fabricated by one faceless Ismail Shuaib Ajibola an ex-student of Building Tech Department of the Polytechnic Ibadan, Saki Campus. He deliberately wants to destabilize the peaceful and serene atmosphere of this Institution and to tarnish the good image of The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki (TOPS). His ulterior motive is not known but we suspect his anger could be borne out of his frustration because he was not offered admission last session for his HND course because of the part he played in the last riot,  by disseminating untrue information about increment of tuition fee that led to student uproar.
Medical Director, TOPS explained to press correspondents who visited him at the school medical centre last week that He is saddled with the responsibility to write out the list of drugs needed at the school health centre and forward it to the School Management through the Bursary Department where provisions will be made. He also mentioned the 3 qualified Suppliers he knew supplies drug to the School Medical Centre through the Management, which are Alaka Ola Pharmaceutical Ltd, Ajike Pharmacy and Perazim Pharmacy.
The Dean student Affair shed more lights on the issue last week; He said he had never administered drug to any student nor supplied drug to the Health Centre. He said the Institution didn’t record any death of student last session as a result of medical misconduct, except for those who died in a car crash and a male student who died of tetanus virus he had been infected from his home. He also mentioned the 3 drug supplier to the Institution. He then offered advice to students to stay away from rumors. The Dean cautioned that rumors like this is classified as general misconduct under the school constitution, and the punishment is expulsion from school.
Please be warned, as obedient is better than sacrifice. Press is watching you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
